Valentines Day in Paris 2017 I took a Vélib bike and an icy ride to a station near the cemetery. As I parked it securing it into the lock-up-staion I looked up and realised that there was an old fashioned digital signboard displaying love letters. I sat down at the bus stop across the road and started to attempt to read them. After a while what struck me was that I seemed to be the only person looking at the notices and other people were just going on about their business. The messages, lines and words started to look like thought bubbles of the people passing by. I sat there in the freezing cold for up to 2 hours watching this extraordinary poetry where public and private lives intersected.

Drawing is by it's very nature process orientated. You start with a mark which becomes a line and develops into an image. Making drawings you are therefore processing.
